HERSTORY
Calafía, was first conceived in the mind of an ancient Spanish author. Her Majesty’s queendom of California bears her name and while too, she is the first American Superhero, she was dethroned in 1848 and has remained invisible until now. On this day, the 9th day of September in 1850, California entered statehood without Her Majesty Calafia, the namesake of the State of California! Can you believe it? CALIFORNIA IS ME® is helping realize the vision of Garcí Rodríguez de Montalvo. Join us!
